Course objective:
The objective of the course is to help students to understand both their own personality and personality of the other people. Students will learn about interindividual differences in the area of a structure of personality. They will get acquianted also with the nature and purpose of the different methods and techniques in the area of psychodiagnostice.
 
Course methods: Lectures, seminars, individual study of the literature, presentations etc.
 
Course content:
1.Introduction into personality psychology, basic theoretical approaches (allowance 2/1)
2.Theoretical perspectives of differential psychology (allowance 2/1)
3.Methodological approaches (allowance 2/1)
4.Determination of interindividual differences (allowance 2/1)
5.Dimensions of interindividual differences (allowance 2/1)
6.Interindividual differences in the area of abilities and competencies (allowance 2/1)
7.Differences in the emotional-cognitive area and in an area of social (allowance 2/1)
8.Personality development (allowance 2/1)
9.Introduction into psychodiagnostics (allowance 2/1)
10.Chosen methods of individual psychodiagnostics (allowance 2/1)
11.Chosen methods of integrative psychodiagnostics (allowance 2/1)
12.Ethical and legal aspects of psychodiagnostics (allowance 2/1)
 
Learning outcomes and competences:
After completing the course, student will be able to:
 
-will be able to apply knowledge from the area of personality psychology within a context of working and organizational life
-will know basic quantitative and qualitative methods of psychodiagnostics including their potential practical contribution and limitations
-will understand basic concepts of the personality psychology
-will understand basic methodological principles of psychodiagnostics
-will understand nature of the key psychological theories of personality, including their contribution and limitations
