Course objective:
The aim of this course is to assist students in a systemic development of their final thesis. The course is focused on supervision of application of research methods and formal requirements to final theses in the area of global business and marketing .
 
Course methods: Students participate in non-periodic consultations with their supervisors and attend class discussion on pre-set dates. Students fullfil required tasks.
The subject is focused on application of methodological approaches to research in the area of management and marketing. Typical research aims include validity testing of current theory, alignment of theory and practice, development of new tools or approaches for practice or further development and refinement of current theories.
As a result, each thesis is developed step by step in a systemic way. Active interaction between supervisors and students is expected.
 
Course content:
1.Introductory seminar, course plan - distribution of texts for mutual feedback (author reading) (allowance 0/2)
2.Research instrument, mutual feedback delivery (allowance 0/2)
3.Consultation of data gathering and data analysis, at least 5 pages of application part will be discussed (allowance 0/2)
4.Consultation of the entire thesis (allowance 0/2)
5.Presentation (introduction) of the final thesis - practising for the oral (allowance 0/2)

Course completion:
Active participation throughout the course. Submitted and by supervisor endorsed final thesis. Active participation in providing feedback to other students (author reading). Presentation for an oral. The course will be marked "inadequate" if students fail to develop their thesis systemically and step by step.
