Course objective:
Provide basic information about the philosophy of a slim company, slim production, a slim production system, slim administration and about the principles and methods of a slim company and their applicability in practice. Basic attention will be devoted to practical demonstrations of implementation and functionality of slim company methods in several simulation and optimisation games.

Course content:
1.Principles and methods of a slim company (allowance 1/1)
2.Technological program unit - demonstration of the slim company methods in production line (allowance 1/1)
3.Lean office, cascade KVP (allowance 1/1)
4.Introduction of Bottom-up methods (allowance 1/1)
5.Basic principles of stabile production (allowance 1/1)
6.Measuring of stable production and simulation game on stabile production (allowance 1/1)
7.Basic principles of system Milkrun (allowance 1/1)
8.Supply monitoring in supermarket using graph, monitoring of material consumption in production, calculation of Kanban cards in supermarket (allowance 1/1)
9.Time management and setting of values, optimization instruments, creation of standard procedures (allowance 1/1)
10.Creation of standard operational lists and tact table, iimulation of assembly line (allowance 1/1)
11.Value Stream Analysis (VSA), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), principles, aims, procedures (allowance 1/1)
12.Value Stream Analysis - case study (allowance 1/1)
 
Learning outcomes and competences:
After completing the course, student will be able to:
 
-Will demonstrate knowledge of principles of value analysis, including its evaluation
-Will explain the importance of stable production to increase production efficiency
-Will understand the basics of industrial engineering
