Course objective:
The subject goal is to understand the imporance and range of computer aid in industry and its exploitation in the manufacturin process from development to production.
It gives the overview of computer aid in:
design creation, process preperation, manufacturing and all engineering connected
managing the information and material flow logistics
 
Course methods: The lectures are given in Mladá Boleslav
Other seminars and practical work is held at TUL in Liberec
 
Course content:
1.Introduction into CIM -- principles access to information technology.Sorts and working with CAD. (allowance 2/2)
 
a.Basic access to production documentation in CAD system
b.Principles of data transmission CAD -- CAM.

2.Access to programming CNC. Management system PPS. (allowance 2/2)
 
a.Principles operating system EdgeCAM
b.Modeling and development in EdgeCAM

3.The role and exploitation of information technology in production control. The trend in CAX systems. (allowance 2/2)
 
a.Development of CNC programmes with EdgeCAM
b.Simulation of CNC programme in system EdgeCAM

4.The role and importance or information system in a company. The range of computer aid to support engineering work. (allowance 2/1)
 
a.CAx systems. Examples of pracical application.

5.Recent situation and trends in information system for enterprise management supports. The characteristics of scheduling and production control. (allowance 2/1)
 
a.Information system to support the company management.
b.practical exhibits information system Melzer Profi, ABRA, WinPlan.
Practical examples of Melzer Profi, ABRA, WinPlan information systems.

6.Shopflor operation management. Selection of information system, application (allowance 2/1)
 
a.Modeling of produstion systems, Workshop layouts
b.Case studies

7.Computer simulation, virtual modeling,Scheduling, analysis of production logistics (allowance 2/1)
