Course objective:
The aim of the subject is to make students acquainted with problems of computer simulation as a modern tool for decision making support in the area of management of logistics processes. Upon completion of this subject, students will be able to work with simulation tool Plant Simulation. Thanks to understanding the tool and the simulation methodology, students will be able to create simple models. Simulated cases will match with certain level of abstraction a real situation. Therefore, each of them has proper economics relevancy. Through modelling they will be followed especially these targets: maximization of benefits, minimization of invested costs, stabilisation of the production, verification of the concept functionality. The cases will be especially aimed for production logistics of cars and automotive components.

Learning outcomes and competences:
After completing the course, student will be able to:
 
-Will demonstrate the use of elementary principles of computer simulation especially in the area of production logistics
-Will modify the created model by applying simulation experiments in order to find the most suitable parameters setting
-Will prove elementary knowledge of computer simulation software
-Will understand and explain all steps of modelling process and principles of computer simulation
