|To acquaint students with issues of quality management as an important part of corporate management. Through lectures and exercises will be presented the basic principles and concepts of modern quality management. Will be presented, procedures, methods and tools useful in the work of senior managers at the design and product development, purchasing and cooperation with suppliers, the actual implementation of products and services, as well as in the stages associated with delivering products to customers. Application of the process approach to quality management, performance review forms a description of quality management systems, improving the methodology, assumptions achieving business excellence and quality management development trends among the cross-sectional areas of the subject.|

Presentation, use of expert studies, videos and practical demonstrations, team work in groups.
Introduction to quality, historical development and future of quality management (allowance 2/2)
Principles and concepts of quality management - the process approach, industry standards, application of requirements based on ISO standards and TQM (allowance 2/2)
Top management in systems of quality management - strategy, policy, objectives, responsibilities and authority, benchmarking (allowance 2/2)
|Quality Management in the design and development phase - methodological approaches and methods of quality planning (allowance 2/2)|
Quality Management in purchasing - supplier relationship management (allowance 2/2)

The human factor in quality management - the role, motivation, communication, development and management of employees (allowance 2/2)
Continuous improvement in quality management systems - methodology and methods of continuous improvement (allowance 2/2)

Learning outcomes and competences:
|After completing the course, student:|
Will apply a system and process approach in organizations and will explain the essence of the certification process and its rules
Will define the main principles of quality management and will interpret the basic concepts of quality management
|Will describe the principle of continuous improvement of quality and will use appropriate methods and tools for quality planning and quality improving|
|Will explain the methodological approaches of quality management in the pre-serial phase and the serial phase of product life cycle|

Support for combined/distance forms of study:
For lessons are available working papers, case studies from industry, the possibility of individual consultations with the lecturer (office hours).
Consultation with the teacher (tutor) may take place through a school set up e-mail accounts on the basis of agreed terms and in personal meetings during office hours announced by specially for the students attending combined form of study.
Students can attend lectures and seminars on the subject in the context of full-time study and use other office hours offered by the teacher outside the schedule of combined studies.
