Course objective:
Give basic information about the newest trends and technologies used in automotive industry. Special attention will be dedicated to fields such as safety, ecology, ergonomics, alternative fuels, automatics and robotics.
Course methods:
Using of PowerPoint presentations, special studies, videos and practical illustrations, working in groups.

Description of the present state of automotive industry. (allowance 1/1)

4.New materials used in vehicle design. (allowance 1/1)
Emissions and emission standards EURO, emission reduction possibilities. (allowance 1/1)
Fossil fuels, biofuels. (allowance 1/1)
Hybrid drives. (allowance 1/1)
Electromobiles. (allowance 1/1)
9.Fuel cells, hydrogen-power, solar cells. (allowance 1/1)
Driver assistance systems. (allowance 1/1)

Learning outcomes and competences:
After completing the course, student:
-Will define the new trends in vehicle safety and the reduction of automobile emissions
Will explain the principle of assistance systems, autonomous vehicles and car conectivity
-Will specify the individual types of alternative fuels and interpret their advantages and disadvantages
