Course objective:
Students should learn how to analyse foreign markets prior to making decisions about market entry, and based on this knowlegde how to negotiate and set the best posible terms in contract of sale.Case studies and examples of best practices will be used in seminars and in-class discussions.
 
Course methods: The learning process is based on the active participation in class activities, short case studies and a final paper and its presentation. Students will complete their own "study manual" for any business transactions including a draft of contract of sale and other documents needed for smooth international business transaction.

Learning outcomes and competences:
After completing the course, student:
 
-Will analyze and assess risks of terms of payments in contract
-Will analyze and examine risks of delivery terms
-Will analyze general risks and trade barriers and will assess their influence on business case
-Will apply knowledge in proposal of international contract of sale
-Will decide on suitable market entry based on analyses

Course completion:
Final test of knowledge based on lectures, seminars and literature will be used, minimum 60% to pass. The seminar paper in the form of "simulation" containing the precise analysis of selected market barriers for defined goods. Afterwards students will be expected to draft a contract of sale containing all the provisions needed for the smooth implementation and relationship-building with foreign business partner.
All texts will be submitted to AIS of SAU.
