Course objective:
The course aims at understanding various approaches to writing a final thesis, making students familiar with formal aspects of their thesis and assisting students in gradual and systemic development of their final thesis in the area of corporate law and bussiness economics in the global environment.
 
Course methods: Course is based in part on regular meetings in the seminar and in part on individual non-periodic consulations with thesis supervisor.The seminar supports students in developing and writing their final theses. The course outlines key methodological approaches to research in the area of corporate law and business economics,formal thesis requirements at Skoda Auto University, typical contents,and approaches to literature review (in particular). In conclusion, each thesis starts to be developed in a systemic way up to the first completed draft.
 
Course content:
1.Selection and refinement of the topic of the thesis, orientation in information resources and bibliography,study of the basic literature, proposal of the goals of the thesis, clarification and selection of methods, formulation of hypothesis, proposal of the structure of the thesis, elaboration and submission
of the diploma thesis assignment.

2.Presentation of the first version of the theoretical background of the thesis in the seminar and its subsequent discussion. In addition to the content, the form and methods of presentation will also be the subjects of discussion. (allowance 0/2)
 
Learning outcomes and competences:
After completing the course, student will be able to:
 
-Will defend the methods of solution of the diploma thesis
-Will define the relevant problem to solve and define the goal and propose the structure of the diploma thesis
-Will describe and defend theoretical background of the diploma thesis

Course completion:
