Course objective:
The subject is designed as a series of the lectures and seminars focused on a variety of the mutual relations among the concepts of culture, organization and management. Within this an organization is defined as a specific cultural phenomenon on both internal as well as external level. Crucial attention is devoted to a systematic management - analysis, development, change, monitoring etc. - of organizational culture. All of these questions are studied from two different perspectives - a local/national view as well as international/global one. A stress is given not only on an explanation and mediation of the most important concepts and knowledge but also on an active development of the students' cross-cultural competence.

Learning outcomes and competences:
After completing the course, student:
-Will be able to conduct a critical analysis of a culture of a concrete organization and to propose its change
-Will define concept of culture and describe its influence on human thought and behaviour
-Will explain the nature of the dimensions of cultural differences including their impact on organizational life
-Will know basic rules and principles how to manage culture of both domestic and international organizations
-Will understand the basic principles of an intercultural communication and of a development of an incultural competence
