Course objective:
The aim of the subject is to prepare diploma thesis in frame of "Business Administration
and Operations" specialisation.
 
Course methods: - Discussion and defence of presentations in face of students and the teacher.
- Individual consultation with diploma thesis supervisor.
 
Course content:
1.Introduction to fundamental requirements for elaboration of thesis (University directive OS.17.06 Thesis Guidelines) and other thesis guidelines. (allowance 0/3)
2.Topic selection and specification, orientation in information sources, acquisition and study of suitable literature, goal and own contribution formulation, methods selection and specification, elaboration of research hypothesis, proposal of thesis structure, thesis assignment specification and delivering. (allowance 0/3)
3.Presentation of the goal, student's contribution, structure, solving procedure, and used methods and information sources of the thesis, including discussion in the seminar. (allowance 0/3)
4.Delivering and presentation of the final version of minimum one thesis chapter, including its discussion in the seminar. Not only content, but presentation form and way will be discussed. (allowance 0/3)
5.Individual consultation with the thesis supervisor. Delivering the selected part of the thesis to the supervisor. (allowance 0/30)
 
Learning outcomes and competences:
After completing the course, student will be able to:
 
-Will characterize the basic steps of the diploma thesis preparation process
-Will perform literary research of Czech and foreign sources
-Will prepare and present the expected goals, own contribution, structure and procedure of the diploma thesis solution
-Will write the theoretical part of the diploma thesis

Course completion:
The credit will be given for:

- Proposal and presentation of the goal, student's contribution, structure, solving procedure, and used methods and information sources of the diploma thesis.
- Delivering and presentation of the final version of minimum one diploma thesis chapter in range app. 25 pages and in format corresponding with university directive OS.17 Thesis Guidelines (in the last version).
