Course objective:
The aim of the German language studies is to master general and professional language on the B1 level of the Common European Framework, in compliance with the requirements of specialised subjects of the master degree. The graduate will be acquainted with such language skills and knowledge which enable them to stand both the academic environment and the labour market within European economic area.
The graduate will acquire corresponding language competences. The graduate will be able to communicate independently and adequately in situations related to their specialization and profession, to utilize foreign literature (understand authentic texts and work with them correspondingly), to understand a lecture in German (record and process it), to discuss the specialised topics (negotiate, present, reason and moderate) and to employ appropriate language tools in written form.
Students are encouraged and motivated so that they take active part in planning, performing and evaluating the education process. The emphasis is on personal involvement of the students in the education process and their own responsibility for the level of the reached language knowledge.

Learning outcomes and competences:
After completing the course, student will be able to:
-Will apply grammatical and lexical stuctures defined by the content of the module
-Will demonstrate knowledge and understanding in both productive and receptive language skills
-Will provide basic information on topics defined by the content of the module

Course completion:
In order to successfully pass the module students will have to prove good knowledge of the topics of the syllabus in all the language skills. The assessment criteria are defined by the course supervisor.
