Course title: Lean Production Methods

Course objective:
Provide basic information about the philosophy of a slim company, slim production, a slim production system and about the principles and methods of a slim company and their applicability in practice. Basic attention will be devoted to practical demonstrations of implementation and functionality of slim company methods in several simulation and optimisation games.

1.Principles of Lean production system (allowance 1/1)

3.Teamwork, operation management of ŠKODA AUTO (allowance 1/1)
4.Organization of the workplace according to the 5S method, working with standards (allowance 1/1)
5.Production according to customer requirements (allowance 1/1)
6.Optimization Simulation - Training Game (allowance 1/1)
7.Basic principles of the SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies) (allowance 1/1)
8.Basic principles of the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) (allowance 1/1)
9.Eliminating waste in the factory (allowance 1/1)
10.Simulation of minifabrics - finding loss of production and training of energy saving (allowance 1/1)
11.Ergonomics, working conditions, working environment (allowance 1/1)
12.Optimization of the production line (allowance 1/1)
Learning outcomes and competences:
After completing the course, student:
-Will apply selected lean manufacturing methods on practical examples
-Will express the substance of philosophy of Lean enterprise
-Will recognize and explains the different kinds of waste

The final evaluation is composed of the following activities: participation in lectures, seminars and technical excursion (30%), submitting a course paper (30%), passing the final test (40%).
