Course objective:
After succesfull passing of subject, students should have knowledge and basic skills concerning supply chain management, which are necesary for middle and top management particular members (firms) of logistics and supply chains. The goal of the subject is introduce basic prcesses, technologies, conceptions and strategies suitable for tactical-strategical management of supply chains. There is partial focus on metods and tools usable for modeling of supply chains.

Logistic's and system's theory. Logistics as scientific branch. (allowance 2/2)

Paradigmatic change of entertainment, management and logistics. Differnece between logistic's theory and practise utilization, actual status (allowance 2/0)

Supply chain management - history, developement, definition, basic processes (allowance 4/0)
4.
Specific of supply chain management in automotive (allowance 2/2)
5.
Lean SCM - history, principals and tools (allowance 4/4)
6.Productivity, costs of SCM - KPI, the role of time in productivity measuring (allowance 2/2)
7.Innovations and trends in SCM - Agile, Leagile, Resilient and Green SCM (allowance 2/0)
8.
Technology in logistics - (classic, telematic, virtual and complex. E-logistics, SCM (allowance 2/2)
9.
Outsourcing and benchmarking in SCM - strategical purposes, adavantages, disadvantages, 3PL, 4PL, 5PL (allowance 2/2)
10.
Utilization of modeling in SCM. SCOR model. Simulation game of automotive supply chain including LEAN tools and principles. (allowance 2/2)
11.
Beer Game. Simulation of 6 Supply Chain Principles (allowance 0/4)
12.Excursion in SKODA AUTO Logistic´s facilities (allowance 0/4)
 
Learning outcomes and competences:
After completing the course, student:

Will describe operational logistic functions, supply chain functions, and specific LEAN tools

Will distinguish and deduct the benefits of strategic theoretical bases on concrete examples from practice

Will identify the differences between the bases of logistics management and enterprise management in the 20th and 21st centuries

Will show and discover strategic theoretical background in logistics theory, supply chain management and LEAN
-
Will suggest to implement the theoretical bases of logistics, SCM and LEAN in specific cases under current market conditions
